We decided to crunch the numbers and find out the answer.

Using data from the 1990-2011 seasons we have 22 seasons of data to look at and found the following:

Phoenix Suns.

Since the 1990 season, the Suns have racked up a total of 184,016 points for an average of 8,364 points per season, which is almost 4,000 more points than the Golden State Warriors.

Interesting Notes

• Of the teams that have been around since 1990, the team with the fewest points scored is the Detroit Pistons who have racked up 168,133 points over 22 seasons, which equates to 7,642 points per season. This is over 15,000 less points than the Suns or roughly two seasons of points.
  
• Of all active teams, on a per season basis, the Memphis Grizzlies have put up the fewest points with 7,526 points per season.
