What does Chances Accepted Mean?
This statistic measures the number of plays in which a defensive player has handled the ball and successfully led to either an assist or putout on the play. Chances accepted is calculated by counting the total number of assists and putouts a player is awarded.

Chances accepted is used in the fielding percentage calculation, where chances accepted is divided by total chances (total number of assists, putouts and errors) to evaluate the effectiveness of a defensive player.
