AstroTurf

What does AstroTurf Mean?

A term typically used to describe any type of artificial turf. The first use of artificial turf dates back to 1965. It is now widely used in stadiums because over the long run it reduces the cost of laying and maintaining real grass. AstroTurf is also a brand of artifical turf invented by Monsanto Industries.
