Sporting Charts explains Double Reverse

Considered a trick play designed to confuse a defense, this type of play is typically feast or famine. At times the flow of this play call can result in large chunks of yardage, but this play also takes time to develop. If a defense does its job and everyone stays assignment sure, this will likely result in a big loss or a turnover.
