What does Draw Play Mean?
An offensive running play in which the quarterback looks as though he will throw the football, only to hand the ball off to the running back or run it himself.

When executed properly, the draw play is the ultimate display of deception and power. The quarterback and offensive line work in unison to fake a pass play. After a slight delay, the quarterback hands off the ball to the running back. The best time to call a draw play is when the defense is expecting a pass.
