What does Front Four Mean?
This is the defensive line. This consists of two defensive ends, and two defensive tackles.

In the dynasty of the Steelers in the 1970's, their front four was given the name "The Steel Curtain". This consisted of Mean Joe Green, L.C. Greenwood, Ernie Holmes, and Dwight White.
