Sporting Charts explains Goal Post

After beating a rival opponent on their own field, it was common tradition to pull down the goal posts after the game, usually by fans. This is a rarity and not practiced since a student was killed in a 2005 football game when Minnesa-Morris won a game in double overtime. The goal posts were brought down on the student and killed him almost instantly.
