Kick
What does Kick Mean?
The act of advancing the football by using your foot. There are
three times during which a kick is used:
- Kickoff, used after scoring plays or at the beginning of each
half (or overtime)
- Punt, also known as "drop kick", is used primarily on the final
down
- Field goal, used to score three points when a touchdown is
unlikely

Most football teams have two different kickers on their team: one who specializes in punting (or drop kicking) the ball and another who strictly performs field goals and kickoffs.
