An illegal action in football where after a play is over, when the ball is not in play, a player may make inappropriate contact, gestures or say something inappropriate to an opposing player or official.

Sporting Charts explains Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Players generally taunt one another throughout the entire game. Most of the time this is acceptable and overlooked as being part of the game. When a play is over, however, players are not supposed to continue taunting or roughly handling one another. Additionally, players may not physically or verbally assault officials at any point in time. An unsporstmanlike conduct penalty is an automatic fifteen yard penalty against the offending team. Sometimes the player responsible may even be ejected from the game or even suspended for a certain number of games.
