The video goal judge and his team have video equipment that can be used to slow down and stop replays to determine if a puck has entered the net, has been hit with a high stick or gloved into the net.
The video goal judge is in each arena, but they also have other crews in the National Hockey League - NHL "War Room" located in Toronto. This room includes other video replay officials in place to help the video goal judge have a second, third or even four-plus set of eyes as a check and balance on every review in question.
