It's Slam Thursday on FanDuel and you have a chance to take home a cool $10,000! Tonight could be your night. It will take some skill and a bit of luck but everyone who enters the FanDuel $100,000 NBA Slam has a solid shot at the prize. When building your lineup, based on what has been seen in the past, it will take a combination of an elite talent or two hitting 55+ FanDuel points and your value guys bringing in 5x value at a minimum. To win the slam you will need to likely hit somewhere between 350-410 points - which makes it important to look for those guys who have high ceilings with big opportunities to hit big.
First, before we jump into the FanDuel projections and value plays for April 9, we just wanted to point out two new tools we recently added to the site.
The first is the NBA Daily Value Tracker which gives a complete breakdown of each NBA player from value perspective - for those who don't know, value is a measure of the relationship between the fantasy production of the player and their fantasy cost.
The second tools is the Defense vs. Position Report which details the daily fantasy production of each position against a team's defense - for example, this will allow you to get an understanding of how Centers do against the Miami Heat (14th best defense).
Not too sure where to start in building your lineup? One key strategy to building a winning lineup is to target a couple of key studs like James Harden or Russell Westbrook who can put up those 50+ FanDuel point nights and then fill your lineup with some value players (noted by the value column - look for guys with a value of 4.5+ as they come at a relatively low cost to their projected points).
Below is a look, based on our internal projections, of how players in today's games are set to perform tonight and where you can find some value. We will be updating through the day as lineups take shape but make sure to keep an eye on injury and lineup reports!
