A play or series of plays that the offensive football team directs that can culminate in a score, turnover, or game clock expiring.
One of the most famous drives in NFL history is appropriately nicknamed "The Drive". In the epic 1987 AFC Championship game between the home team Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos, John Elway led the Broncos on a 98-yard drive that tied the game at 20-20. The Broncos went on to win the game in overtime to advance to the Super Bowl.
