Missed Shot
What is Missed Shot?
A statistic in hockey that measures the total number of shots a player or team has which are directed at the net but don't hit the net or the goaltender and as such isn't counted in the shots on goal statistic. Missed Shot is often used in advanced statistics to better measure the overall number of shots (chances) that are directed at the opponents net and is a key component of Corsi and Fenwick.
