More about Times Left Stranded Leaders (Baserunners)

Player times left stranded leaders are those who reached base the most number of times in a season without scoring. Leading the league in times being left stranded is in and of itself a good thing – it means a player was among the most likely to ever reach base which is always a key component of a quality offensive player. It also means that the player did not score, which can be a result of both sheer number of times reaching base but also a result of players hitting behind them in the batting lineup not driving them home. Those who lead the league in the percentage of time they were stranded are more likely to have subpar (or unlucky) batters hitting behind them in the lineup.
