Player Receiving Yards Per Game: 2016 NFL Season

Player Receiving Yards Per Game is the average number of total yards receiving a player earns for every game in which he appeared.  Even the best offensive weapons can see great fluctuations in the number of receiving yards per game for a number of reasons, including not having many balls thrown their way, having a large lead and thus not needing to throw the ball as often, a defense double teaming a single wide receiver which allows other players to earn more yards, and other reasons.  Furthermore, a player is credit with a game played even if he appears in only a single offensive play, so if he gets hurt early in the game and doesn’t return that will hurt his average receiving yards per game as well.
