Player Rushing Fumbles Statistics: 2016 NFL Season

Player rushing fumbles refers to the number of times the ball was fumbled on a rushing attempt.  This can include fumbles lost as well as fumbles recovered by the player (or another member of the player’s team).  Rushing fumble leaders usually includes quarterbacks, who generally speaking are not as good at hanging on to the ball while running outside the pocket or past the line of scrimmage as are running backs. While a team never wants to see their player fumble, the damage done to the team by a player’s propensity to fumble largely depends on who recovers the ball.
