Points Per Play: 2016 NFL Season

Points Per Play measures the number of points a team scores for each play they run which gives an estimate to how efficient a team is at converting their plays into points. A higher number can indicate two things, first that it moves the ball efficiently and is consistently scoring points.  Secondly, it might have a good defense and consistently better starting field position and as a result doesn't need as many plays to score points.
